no....its dry in the cartiage....it heats on the roller....that is how it works for all laser printersQuestion about laser toner?
The key is to turn OFF your printer when NOT in use to preserve the toner even if its not in use since the heat can DRY the ink in your cartridge.
Other future good PRINTER options would be the All-In-One HP Printer.

Any toner may get dry if you don't put them in suggested temp. marked on the toner itself.
If you don't use lot. Before using after long break, Do some software mainternance thru printer software utility.
It will clean the cartridge and let you print again.
