I have Samsung ML2010 and I want to know whether I could use a laser toner that is compatible with the Samsung ML1640 or will I have to use a toner thats specifically compatible with the Samsung ML2010Can I use a toner compatible with one laser printer to another?
I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Toner for different models have differing properties. While there are cartridges that are intended for use on multiple models, it is best to check with the OEM first.
The ML 1640 uses the MLT-D108s cartridge while the ML2010 charges with an ML2010D3. Also note that the ML1640 was released only January 2009 while the 2010 is an older model so I wouldn't trust toner compatibility for both models to this end.Can I use a toner compatible with one laser printer to another?
